$4000 by 40 - Elizabeth's Birthday Fundraiser

Since moving to Edmonton I've felt a special connection to the Ronald McDonald House here. Many of the Wish Families I worked with at Children's Wish were staying at the house while they came to Edmonton for treatment. Seeing how families were so cared for at the House - from the shuttle to daily fresh meals, and everything in between - during one of the toughest times a family could go through, was touching. Knowing how important my family is to me, and seeing how RMH keeps families together when they need it the most, made me want to do more to support the mission. I started by attending events like the Red Shoe Crawl and quickly became a member of the Red Shoe Society. A few years later I joined the RSS board, helping to plan events, fundraise, and friendraise for the House. I'm marking my birthday this year by setting myself some big goals - 40 things I'd like to do before 40. One of those things is to raise $4000 for the house. Pre-pandemic maybe you would buy me a birthday beverage or let me wrangle you into coming to one of our Red Shoe events.
