Blake’s Flamingos
Campaign Goal
Together we are raising $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan.
Our Story: Our daughter, Blake, has Spina Bifida. She's pretty extraordinary. Mom and Blake were the 15th in Canada to get in utero surgery to repair her spine at 25 weeks pregnant (1st from Saskatchewan). She is called "twice born," since she had a sneak peak of the world. She was later born at 36weeks and spent 19 days in the NICU. Since then we have had multiple appointments, 2 brain surgeries and 3 hospital stays. The majority of these happen in Saskatoon at the Children's Hospital or Kinsmen Children Centre. The Ronald McDonald house has been a home away from home. I'm not sure we would have survived some of those scary moments without it. The house as provided us with the amenities such as a bed and shower, but also with food and comfort. The staff and volunteers have been the bright spot in another wise dreary day. The house is everything good about humanity, and walking in you feel comforted and loved. Thank you for supporting the house and families like ours. Sarah, Shane and Blake Leigh Our Fundraiser: A Flock of Fundraising Flamingos landed in Tisdale, Saskatchewan for the Month of September. They had such a FUN time they decided to take the party on the road. In October the Flamingos will be landing in Pilot Butte, Emerald Park, White City and Balgonie area! September 2020 in Tisdale: For a minimum donation of $50 you can direct the flock to a friend or foe. The flamingos will flee for a matching donation. We have been told there are 2 dozen of these partying flamingo's touching down, so place your reservations now to secure a visit from our pink feathered friends. Reserve at Sarah@bespokeid.ca. All funds raised go to Ronald McDonald House Charities Saskatchewan. In 2019, 8 families from Tisdale utilized the Ronald Mcdonald House.
