Emilia Eve McConkey Davidson Memorial
I’m raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Canada.
Ends: September 30, 2021
Emilia Eve McConkey Davidson was born July 13th to her loving parents Marina McConkey and Travis Davidson and is the little sister to their daughter Aurelia. Emilia was diagnosed with an intestinal anomaly (ileal atresia), which she underwent surgical treatment for, and she bravely battled through. During that time, Travis and Marina stayed at Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) BC and Yukon in Vancouver while Emilia recovered and stated that they will forever be champions of the RMHC cause. Sadly, after a short time at home, their little fighter, Emilia, developed intestinal volvulus (twisting of the intestines) secondary to congenital malrotation of her intestines. Emilia battled through several surgeries and was an incredibly tough fighter but was unable to recover from her twisted intestine. Sweet, brave, courageous Emilia peacefully passed away on August 17th. Her family will cherish the memories Emilia made with them, especially while they were able to have her home and show her the world. No words can express the depth of their love for Emilia nor the trauma of their loss. This fundraiser is a memorial to celebrate Emilia’s life and to offer support for families to be with their loved ones in their time of need just as RMHC was able to do for Marina and Travis. We would like to honor Emilia’s memory by giving back.
