Hallie's Wish; "Isn't she lovely, isn't she ONEderful

On January 13th of 2022 our family welcomed a little girl, Miss Hallie Michaela Mae. Throughout the duration of Hallie's first year, we have spent weeks and multiple occasions at Victoria Children's Hospital. Hallie was and continues to be supported in overcoming abnormalities found in systematical make up. Over the course of this time we have directly benefited from the support of Victoria Children's Hospital, B6 nursing staff and our amazing surgical team with Dr. Peter Wang. Hallie will undergo re-implimentation surgery, when she turns two and the doctors confidently predict that the preformed solutions will be ultimately successful. Now, that's our little backstory and though our experience had it's own personal fears and challenges, what we came to truly witness were those who are in less fortunate circumstances, then our Hallie. Hallie has solutions, others may not or their solutions, their duration may be unknown. The Ronald McDonald House provided comfort, a home away from home. It was a warm coffee with a smile in the morning. Providing facilities for simple pleasures such as a shower, a place for family to lay their head. It was that for us, and so much more for others. In honour of Little Miss Hallie and celebrating her first birthday, our aim is to celebrate her while raising support for the Ronald McDonald House.
