In 2017 and again in 2019 my sister and dad stayed for several weeks at RMCH Hamilton while my niece Jazmin was in McMaster Children's Hospital. I was blown away by the kindness and generosity RMCH showed my whole family but in particular to my sister and dad. In 2019, my niece passed away and I decided then and there that I wanted to do an Ironman race in her honour. I would do some of the swimming, biking and running that she would never get the chance to do herself. In addition to honouring Jazmin, I also wanted to raise some money for a great organization that showed my family so much kindness and empathy.
