McHappy Day is a long-standing Canadian tradition and is at the heart of who we are and what we do at McDonald’s Canada. For 45 years, McDonald’s Canada has been a proud supporter of Ronald McDonald House across Canada. In FORT MCMURRAY, we’re extremely proud to have partnered with Ronald McDonald House Edmonton, The Salvation Army, and Northern Lights Health Foundation to help support the work they do to help families in our community.

On Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, we will celebrate our 32nd McHappy Day in Canada! The funds raised on McHappy Day go directly towards providing essential support to families staying with Ronald McDonald House across Canada including accommodations, meals, mental health and wellness support, and more so families can stay together and focused on their child’s care.
