Remembering Owen

This Saturday it will be 2 years since our son Owen passed away. We wanted a tangible way that our friends and family could remember him with us, and so we've decided to host a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House. Our family stayed at the Ronald McDonald HouseIf in Vancouver for almost a month when Owen had heart surgery 6 years ago. It was so valuable for our whole family to be together during that time, and to be so close to the hospital. 2 years ago we started down the path to a heart transplant for Owen and were anticipating using the services at the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton. That year Owen's class chose Ronald McDonald House as the charity they would fundraise for. They were able to visit as a class to deliver their donation just one week before Owen died. Needless to say Ronald MdConald House holds a special place in our hearts. If you haven't heard a new Ronald McDonald house is being built here in Winnipeg! It would be so meaningful to us if you would remember Owen with us by blessing other medical families here in Manitoba and helping them to receive the same care and support we did while at Ronald McDonald House.
