Robert is 7!

I can't believe it's been 7 years since Robert joined our family. 7 years ago, Robert was placed in my arms, and I looked down at him and said "You are going make a lot of people happy just by being born." I was right. In the 7 years he's been in our lives, he's brought us so much joy. As many of you know, Robert spent 5 days in NICU following his birth. While we were in hospital, I was fortunate enough to have access to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Family Room at the LHSC. There, I was given hot meals, coffee, a room with a comfortable bed to sleep in and access to a shower. It was a "home away from home" that allowed me to feel a bit more human while I camped out next to my newborn in his NICU room. Every year, we look to give back to this charity. Without them, our stays (not only the one following Robert's birth but other stays at LHSC when our kids were sick) would have been far more difficult.
