Shakin Shah’s Champion for Families Fundraiser

Hello, my family members, co-workers, and friends. For the tenth year in a row, my team and I are raising much-needed funds for sick children and their families through our annual Champion for Families fundraiser (formerly Red Shoe Crew Walk) in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Manitoba. Together with your support our team has raised over $135,000 through the first 9 years of this fundraiser and once again we call on you for your help as together we can help RMHC Manitoba sustain operations at its new Ronald McDonald House program that opened its doors in September 2022. RMHC Manitoba is supporting more families now than ever before. In 2023, during the first full year in its new Ronald McDonald House program and continued support offered through its Family Room program, RMHC Manitoba supported over 1,300 families from 292 communities with over 10,900 nights of accommodation. In addition, families staying at RMHC Manitoba saved over $3.4M in costly, out-of-pocket expenses based on an RBC Economic Impact Study and nightly average of $306 in out-of-pocket savings for families.
