Swim-A-Thon in Support of RMH-SWO
I’m raising funds for Ronald McDonald House Southwestern Ontario.
Ends: December 13, 2024
Hi everyone! My name is Tori Niittynen-Dreifelds and I am an IB student at Superior CVI. Each year in the program, we complete a CAS fundraising project for a charity of our choice. The CAS project entails aspects of creativity, activity, and service, which are components of the IB program aimed at promoting experiential learning and community engagement. This year, I was inspired to choose Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario because I was a patient at London SickKids for a week in September of 2021. During this time, I was able to witness firsthand how significant of an impact this charity has on families. I have many friends and family members that have also been touched by Ronald McDonald House, and we can all agree that the community involved with the charity goes above and beyond to make each family's lives a little easier. When a family's life gets turned upside down, the incredible staff is there to help you with absolutely anything that you need and provide you with a community to lean on. With your contribution, I want to help ensure that they can continue to provide for families the way that they have done for mine for years to come. This charity will forever hold a special place in mine and my family's hearts, and we will be forever grateful! In support of RMH-SWO, I will be swimming 10k at my home pool Lakehead University on Friday, June 28. It is here that I am also fortunate enough to swim competitively with the Northwest Narwhals swim team and teach swim lessons through the incredible program Learn to Swim. If you are able to donate, I would appreciate it more than you know! Thank you so very much for your support ❤️💛
