Divas for Stella

In April, we participated in the Stella Strong Crossfit Competition and learned about a very special little girl named Stella, and her family. We were touched by her story and wanted to do more to support the family. On June 11 we are running the Diva Half Marathon in Toronto. We decided to use this event as an opportunity to raise funds, and awareness, for Stella and her Family. Stella is a 3-year-old girl from London who was diagnosed in early December with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), a type of cancer that forms in the bone marrow and transfers quickly to the blood. She is currently at Sick Kids in Toronto being treated with chemotherapy and will need a bone marrow transplant. Her mom and dad (Dub & Seri) are with her in the hospital while she gets her treatment. The family has had to take time off work and relocate to Toronto during her treatment. Ronald McDonald House has supported the family during this time, and the family has asked that we raise funds to support other families who are supported by services from RMHC.
