Natalies First Birthday!

When Natalie was born her family was able to stay close to her because of The Ronald Mcdonald House in Toronto. We stayed at thr house for 7 months and can not express enough how grateful we are. Grateful for the normalcy and distractions they created for our son, grateful for the financial aspect and grateful we could all be together im order to support and spend time with our Natalie as she fought to survive. Natalie was born with HLHS, DORV and a few other heart defects... She began to quickly fail day 2 of life. So doctors performed emergency bedside surgery to save our girl. Afterwards in which she suffered a cardiac arrest, landing her on life support for 5 days. It then took 16 days for them to be able to close her chest. For the next 5.months after this, things were relativley calm for Miss Natalie, she experienced a few bumps and thanks to Ronald Mcdonald House we were right by her side to help her through. On March 5th 2017 we got a call that Natalie was recieving a chance at life They found a heart that matched her ♡ So for Miss Natalies first Birthday she would greatly appreciate in lieu of gifts, a donation to Ronald Mcdonald House Toronto!! ♡ The Gillies
