Michelle's Fundraising Campaign in support of RMHC Family Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital

When a child is seriously ill, there can be a terrible toll on the whole family with respect to emotional stress, financial stress, having to relocate to receive treatment, or just the long hours in the hospital and wanting to stay by your child's side. This stress can be devastating and often split families apart when they should be together most. The 15 Ronald McDonald Houses Charities across Canada are close to hospitals and provide a home-away-from-home for families while their child heals. This is why I have become involved in this one day fundraiser. Each McHappy Day Hero/volunteer is aiming to raise $328. That is the cost of operating the RMHC Family Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital for one day. It is not a lot so this should be a goal we can easily achieve or exceed with your help. $1 from each Big Mac, Happy Meal or hot beverage sold on Wednesday May 2nd will be donated to the RMHC.
