Aiden Thedorff-McKone

When Aiden was 5 weeks old, he became very ill with RSV & pneumonia and was hospitalized. It was an extremely scary time in our lives. When he was transfered from our local hospital to Children's Hospital LHSC we were very fortunate to be able to stay at Ronald McDonald House London. While the nurses in the PCCU took incredible care of Aiden, we were able to get our first good night's sleep in weeks at RMH London. When we weren't at Aiden's bedside, we were at RMH. There, the staff and volunteers treated us with such empathy and compassion we were able to feel fully supported through this difficult time. Along with a safe place to rest and support from staff, we were able to have a shower, eat hot meals and snacks, and do laundry. To know that Ronald McDonald House London was there to take care of all of our daily needs left us with the ability to focus our energy on Aiden and his health. RMH London was truly a safe "home away from home" in our time of need.
