Down Syndrome Day Awareness

My name is Scarlett Humby and I was born with Down syndrome, each year my family and I try to bring awareness about Down syndrome to others. March 21st each year celebrates World Down Syndrome Day. The date (03/21) was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. This year we will do a number of activities within the community including a gift card/certificate basket. We will be selling tickets on this basket and all proceeds will be donated back to charity.
