Sailors Santa Clause Parade
Campaign Goal
Together we are raising $2,500 for Ronald McDonald House Canada.
In 1982 the Toronto Santa Clause Parade was in danger of being canceled, until George Cohon decided to step in to help save the parade. When asked why a Jewish man would care about a Christmas parade and he responded that the parade brought with it joy and happiness and that joy and happiness were universal and deserved to be saved. With George's recent passing, what better way to to honour him bringing joy and happiness to the streets of Toronto.

The parade will begin staging at the Crown & Beaver Bar at 18h00 and once properly staged we will parade the streets of the Annex and Yorkville, stopping in at various taverns to bring joy and cheer to local boys and girls, returning back to the Crown & Beaver to properly de-stage. There are only two requirements to participate in the parade: 1. fundraise a minimum of $25 2. you must wear a Santa suit or other Christmas/winter costume (think elf, Mrs. Clause, Cariboo, snowman et al) Get creative with your fundraising like getting someone to sponsor how many pubs you'll make or something like that. Remember this is to raise funds for families who are in need, so if you don't participate, you're going to feel awful on Christmas morning. Just because you don't have a Santa suit, don't let that stop you. You can get one on Amazon for $25 and you're going to need it again next year.
Together we have raised $350 of our combined $2,500 goal
