100 Miles for Ronald McDonald House
Je recueille 1 000 $ pour Maison Ronald McDonald sud-ouest de l'Ontario.
Fin : 12 octobre 2020
Growing up, I had always dropped some spare change in the box at McDonald's restaurants knowing that it was going towards a charity. It was only a few years ago, that I finally discovered what Ronald McDonald houses do for their communities, and just how important they are for families in need. Two of my best friends needed to use Ronald McDonald house. Knowing the hardships their families went through, and hearing stories of what other families endure when their children are sick, it was absolutely remarkable to know that Ronald McDonald House was there for them all. They provide a quiet and safe environment - home away from home if you will - so that families can stay close during difficult times. I can't think of a better place to donate my time and money, as they give sick children what they need the most: their families. I understand it is a difficult time during the pandemic, so only donate if you can - or even "tip the window" as I like to say, next time you're grabbing your morning cup of coffee at the drive thru window =) I'm attempting to run 100 miles in and around London, Ontario, visiting all 14 McDonald's restaurants and the Southwest Ontario Ronald McDonald House along my journey to help raise awareness for this great charity!

My goal is to run 100 miles as I meander through the streets and trails of London, Ontario, starting at the McDonald's located by the 401 exit on Wellington road. I plan on running past all 14 McDonald's restaurants in London, as well as the Ronald McDonald House located on Baseline Road. Depending on many factors, my end time is estimated to be between 4-8pm on Saturday, October 10th at Backroads Brews & Shoes. I just want to raise awareness for this wonderful cause, and I'm hoping to complete my journey in a day or less. I will be sharing my intended running route (along with estimated arrival times ) so that anyone can come out and share some miles with me!! Socially distanced of course =)
