Diana's Climb for Kids: Mount Kilimanjaro

Each family that walks through the doors of Ronald McDonald House BC is on a journey that no family would ever want to take. Some travel an hour to reach us, some hundreds of miles. Some stay for a couple of days, some for several months. There can be many differences in their backgrounds and situations, yet they all have one important thing in common – they will do whatever it takes to help their child get well. I first walked through the doors of RMH BC just over two years ago. As a staff member, I have helped to welcome thousands of seriously ill children and their families to our House. I have witnessed the highest level of bravery and dignity in the smallest of children as they face the fight of their lives. They are all little heroes, and for them I will face one of my biggest challenges...a climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
