August’s Birthday Fundraiser!!

When August was born and then transferred to the NICU at McMaster Children’s Hospital, we didn’t know how we would manage the long journey to see him every day. We had no choice but to take it one day at a time. But, between the pain from my C-Section, the mounting cost of hospital parking, meals, and not being able to have our daughter Lennon with us, we were scared of what the next few weeks would look like. When we found out there was a room for us at the local RMHC, the relief we felt was instant! They gave us a safe, quiet place to stay where we felt so loved and supported by the staff and volunteers. Meals were taken care of, our daughter could come stay with us(and they spoiled her like CRAZY!), and we were right beside the hospital and could spend more time with our new son! In honour of August’s 1st birthday, we want to give back to the place that kept us together as a family, and sponsor a meal for the families staying in the house. The last thing families should be worried about is how they will be able to be close to their child in the hospital. RMHC is a place that gives so much peace of mind and comfort to families going through the toughest time of their lives! Families like mine… Please help us to meet our goal…for August!❤️
