Kilometers for Kids - Cycle Across NL

We are a group of moms that have a deep passion for the RMHC. RMHC NL is near and dear to the hearts of all here in Labrador West as we all know of someone that has had to spend a night or many of nights at this home away from home. This place offers comfort to families in their most trying times. During the summer of 2020, Gerri-Lynn Stevens and April Richards along with their small boys wanted to support this charity . As they started what was to be a small scale fundraiser , word and excitement grew and so did the team and goals. When we finished last summer , our final kilometers biked was 2054 KM!!!! Being that we live in Labrador some of this was completed in snow!!!!!. We are also very proud to say that as a group we raised over $16,000!!!! Well we couldn’t stop there !!! Due to the success and excitement of 2020, we set an even larger plan for 2021!! A group will bike across Newfoundland to raise funds for the RMH. On July 9th 2021 we will leave St Barbe and make the journey across the province arriving at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Johns July 16, 2021, a total of 932.5 km’s!!! We will be having community stops along the way and would love to see you come out and cheer us on!! Keep an eye out for our schedule as we get closer to the trip!! We will also be fundraising throughout the year and are so excited to be able to help out such a worthy cause!! Our team for 2021 includes Gerri-Lynn Stevens , April Richards , Kim Hartery , Michelle Turpin, Kayla Edwards, Lori Butt, Tina Ralph & Shawn Arnold.
