Simba’s Walk for Families

Having had the privilege to volunteer and now proudly serve as a Family Services Associate, l have seen the impactful and meaningful service that the House provides to Families of sick Children. I have witnessed the difference this house makes in lives of families with a proximity of less than 5 minutes walk away from the hospital as family often travel long distances far away from home. In moments of uncertainty where a child needs medical care the house becomes more than a place to stay, it becames a home filled with comfort, compassion and hope. l have seen parents strength in the warm meals shared around the table ,siblings light up with joy through play and families breathe easier knowing they are not alone. These are the reasons l am committing to fundraising because every donation big or small raised directly helps keep families close to the care of their childs needs without the added stress of finding a costly place to stay or a meal to eat. Your support means a family can focus on what matters most, THEIR CHILDS HEALTH. Together we can make sure every family feels they have to face their child’s medical journey alone and make sure the house remains a beacon of hope for Families in Newfoundland and Labrador
