"When Haylen was 5, he asked if he could start an ice-cream shop. He built a little stand at the end of the driveway. We assumed he wanted money to buy toys but instead when asked what he would do with the money he replied “I'm going to give all the money to the Ronald McDonald House. I will fill up my bucket and give it to them, then fill it again and again so I can help all the sick kids." He thought of the idea after we threw him a "five for five" party on his 5th birthday. Each guest brought two $5 dollar bills, one he kept for himself and one he got to donate to a charity of his choice. We presented him with a few different charitable options and when he learnt the RMH keeps families of sick children close while they receive treatment, that was instantly his choice.” He held 3 different fundraisers, raising $10,033! Haylen is now working on raising $7,018 after his hockey hero #18 Matt Stajan. Help Haylen reach his goals!”
