McHappy Day Hero Program - 2018

I am pleased to to report that our tremendously successful fund raising program from 2017 is back for McHappy Day 2018. (Wednesday May 2, 2018). Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms allow families with seriously ill children to stay close during a very difficult time in their lives. Not only is this 'closeness' psychologically comforting, it is proven to aid significantly in the healing process. In 2017, our program raised $90,000 for the operation of the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital. A hospital with a 'state of the art', neo natal intensive care unit, that is used by families throughout York and Durham Regions. The innovative 2017 campaign that was developed in Markham was internationally recognized when the team was presented with the Ronald McDonald House Charities, McTLC Award of Excellence for outstanding contribution to the charity. An annual award presented to one Owner/Operator team internationally. Our team was delighted to be the first Canadians to receive the award in its 33 year history. The $100,000 (USD) award was donated to the RMHC Family Room at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Please help us in 2018 toward our total team goal of $120,000 by contributing to my campaign right here.
