In honour of Thomas Alexander

In honour of my beautiful nephew, Thomas Alexander Janeiro 🩵💙💛, I’m asking for donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada. I chose this nonprofit to honour Thomas and because their mission truly means so much to me. Thomas spent his entire life at SickKids, and though he was only four months old when he passed away, he fought so incredibly hard every single day. Supporting families who are walking a similar path feels like a meaningful way to celebrate his life and strength. Every little bit helps and is deeply appreciated. Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada supports families through 34 programs across the country, providing a place to stay close to their sick child in hospital. They give families the comfort of being together — a safe place to rest, share home-cooked meals, do laundry, and lean on other families who understand the fear, exhaustion, and hope that come with having a child in hospital. I’ve seen firsthand the impact of this organization. My sister and her family stayed there, and I was able to be there with them as well. I saw firsthand how much it mattered — a place to breathe, and to stay close to their baby when every moment counted. During an incredibly emotional and painful time, Ronald McDonald House became more than just a place to stay — it became a source of comfort, support, and compassion. It’s an amazing organization that truly deserves recognition for all they do for SickKids and families across Canada. Thank you so much for your love, kindness, and support 😊
