McHappy Day 2026 - Bartlett Family Restaurants

To our community partners, employees, family, and friends, Thank you for teaming up with us in supporting Ronald McDonald House Toronto for the seventh year of our McHappy Day Hero Program! Our late Founder and Chairman, George Cohon, once told me, “When we do business in the communities in which we operate, we need to do our part to give back to those communities that give to us.” I have never forgotten that philosophy, and I continue to mentor my staff to do the same. Our charitable efforts began over 32 years ago with our support of the Rick Hansen Man in Motion campaign, during which we raised $27,000. The feeling of accomplishment from that campaign was truly life‑changing for me. Over the years, we have continued to raise funds for initiatives such as Variety Village through our annual Cruise for Kids charity events, and we have introduced many other campaigns featuring significant donations to local charities across Toronto and Scarborough. As a father of three and a grandfather of four, I understand the importance of improving healthcare for our children. We have donated well over $150,000 to Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital (SHN) through campaigns such as Save Time Save Lives, Buy a Bed, and most recently, the Front‑Line Workers Campaign. We also fulfilled our $50,000 pledge toward the Medical Imaging and Vascular Centre at Scarborough General Hospital, which is now operational. We continue to support our three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Scarborough Centenary Hospital and Markham Stouffville Hospital as part of our McHappy Day 2026 efforts. In addition, we aim to raise significant funds for Ronald McDonald House Toronto, with all donations going directly toward the operating costs of these Family Rooms. Last year, Bartlett Family Restaurants raised over $36,000 for Ronald McDonald House Toronto, thanks to your generosity and the dedication of our restaurant teams. Did you know that by raising just $328 from your family, friends, and co‑workers, you can help operate a Family Room for one full day? Imagine the impact you can have on families who rely on these spaces every single day. In 2026, we hope to raise an additional $10,000 through our Hero Program.
